A Wrap on 'Bypass'

Shooting has finally completed after 9 weeks on Duane Hopkins' 'Bypass', produced by Third Films. Jack Tarling line produced the BFI/Film Agency Wales/Swedish Film Institute/Torino Filmlab co-production.
The film, which Duane describes as 'a morality tale for society's feared and foresaken' shot in Gateshead, with a wonderful cast including George Mackay, Charlotte Spencer, Ben Dilloway and Donald Sumpter. It's the first feature from prolific shorts and commercials cinematographer David Procter, with makeup designed by Alessandro Bertolazzi ('Biutiful', 'Gomorrah', 'The Impossible') and costumes by Gill Horn ('Ratcatcher', 'Valhalla Rising'). Editor Chris Barwell ('Better Things', 'Black Mirror') now takes the reigns. Duane's previous feature, 'Better Things' was selected for Critics Week in Cannes, and Third's other films have won prizes in Venice and Berlin, as well as a BAFTA nomination.
